Was $11 for a day pass, but the view is worth it. You can drive most of the way to the top with one pull out along the way for a great view. At the top is another great view, but I highly recommend to everyone that you take the 0.7 mile hike to the top where there is amazing views from a observation tower. One thing to note is that while the hike is short, it gains a lot of elivation and good shoes are recommend.

Trek to the observation tower, you can see everything and there are rocks to sit on so you can enjoy a snack and beverage, if you bring any!

Northern trails are fairly steep. Interesting quarry on the way. Give yourself at least an 1hr more than you think you need and bring warm clothing if you want to hit the summet.

The Windsor trail is a well marked and nicely kept trail. It's rather steep. You'll want a good supply of drinking water with you. There are areas of smooth, steep granite that can be dangerous if you're not very careful about your footing. The views from the fire tower are well worth the climb. Full cell phone service at the summit.

Staying here while in AmeriCorps NCCC. Lean-to was well maintained. Grounds keepers were very nice and helpful. Water tastes a bit off. (Plastic) The mountain view and hike are exquisite.
